Modern Coats Painting
Modern Coats Painting
A logo, brand guidelines, and website design direction for a residential painting business.

Project Overview
Modern Coats Painting needed an identity that could carry from a logo into guidelines and a website.
I designed the logo and brand guidelines, and set the design direction for the website.

Design Approach
The mark is a two-colour M that can stand alone or sit with the wordmark. The guidelines show how it appears on light, dark, and sage grounds so the identity stays consistent.
The website direction uses that same system to introduce the service and give visitors a clear next step.
- Logo system
- Stacked and horizontal lockups, plus a standalone mark and badge for small spaces.
- Guidelines
- Documented lockups, colour, and how the brand is introduced so it can be applied the same way each time.
- Website direction
- Homepage, services, and a colour-explorer path designed around the identity.

Logos and marks
Standalone artwork, shown at its own proportions. Photographs and mockups of the work in use appear elsewhere on this page.
